LiveWebDJ is fully compatible with broadcasting to any Icecast2 (or Icecast-KH) media server. You will first need an Icecast2 server to broadcast to. If you don't already have one, you can obtain one from our sister company iCastCenter.com

Step 1:

  • Login to your stream host provider's control panel and locate the following information for your Icecast2 server:
    • Server IP Address (or Hostname)
    • Server Port
    • Source Password (aka "Encoder Password" or "Broadcast Password")
    • Admin Password (usually your control panel password)
    • Mount Point

Step 2:

  • Login to your LiveWebDJ.com account
  • Click on "Settings" from the left hand panel.
  • Click on "Output Encoders"
  • For the "Encoder Type", choose the encoding format for your stream.
  • For the "Bitrate", choose the option that matches the bitrate for your stream.
  • For the "Sample Rate", choose "44.1Khz (Default)".
  • For the "Channels", choose "Stereo".
  • For the "Server Type", choose "Icecast2"
  • For the "Server IP", input the Server IP Address (or Hostname) from the previous step.
  • For the "Server Port", input the port number from the previous step.
  • For the "Source Password", input the encoder password from the previous step.
  • For the "Admin Password", input the admin password from the previous step.
  • For the "Server Stream ID", please leave this field blank.
  • For the "Server Mount Point", input the mount point name from the previous step.
  • Please note: there is no save button. This page auto-saves.

Step 3:

  • Click on "Dashboard" from the left hand panel.
  • Assuming your station is off the air, click on "Off The Air" to toggle your station to go on the air.
  • Otherwise, if you're already on the air and simply adding an encoder (or making changes to your existing encoder):
    • Click on "On The Air". This will toggle your station to go offline.
    • Allow your dashboard to refresh.
    • Click on "Off The Air". This will toggle your station to go online.

Congratulations! At this point, your station should be on the air and broadcasting to your Icecast2 (or Icecast-KH) server.
